REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

All documents (notarized or certified) must be presented to the Turks and Caicos Registrar General.

Original documents to be presented in person are:

  1. Passport.
  2. Original Birth Certificate.
  3. Proof of marital status - If single a sworn affidavit is required from country of residence and from Turks and Caicos. Note affidavits must not be older than 90 days.
  4. If one of the parties is a divorcee, then a Divorce Decree is required, either the original or a notarized copy, sealed by a court clerk.
  5. In the case of a Widow/Widower a Marriage and Death Certificate of the previous spouse is required
  6. In the case of a name change or adoption, then proper documentation is required.
  7. If under the age of 21, then consent of one or both parents or guardian, in the form of an affidavit stamped by a Notary Public is required.
  8. A declaration in support of application for special licence must be completed by both parties.
  9. The marriage parties must not be within the prohibited degree of relationships to each other.
  10. All Non-English documents must be translated by a reputable translator and notarized.

GETTING MARRIED IN THE TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS

There is a residency requirement of 48 hours before making application to the Registrar General for a Turks and Caicos Marriage License. However, if arriving via Cruise ship there is no residency requirement.

The application fee (including Marriage Certificate) for Non Cruise ship is $190.00 and Cruise ship $290.The fees must accompany the application.


SERVICES:
-Dee will be in touch with you via e-mail, telephone/fax, prior to your     arrival in TCI.
- Meet with you upon your arrival to collect and verify all documents.
- Make certain all documents are notarized.
- Have documents couriered to Grand Turk.
- Upon arrival in Grand Turk, have documents personally picked up and   delivered to the office of the Registrar General.
- Make certain all necessary fees are paid.
- After the Registrar General gives approval to marry;have it personally picked up and delivered to Dee.
- Make certain approval is granted prior to commencement of marriage    ceremony.
- After completion of ceremony, have marriage certificate signed and witnessed, then couriered to Grand Turk and personally picked up and hand-delivered to the office of the Registrar General for registration.
- After registration of marriage certificate, an original is personally   obtained at the office of the Registrar General and delivered to Dee.
- Immediately, upon receipt of the original marriage certificate, Dee hand delivers it to the couple, or if they have already left the islands, have it mailed to them.
